HELD IN LIGHT

There’s a certain magic in the countryside when poppies bloom—scarlet petals moving softly with the wind, fragile yet impossibly alive. Their beauty is fleeting, impossible to hold for long.

This collection, Held in Light, was born from that fleeting grace. Each cyanotype print began in the fields near my home outside Naples, Italy, where I gathered fresh poppies and brought them to my studio. Using sunlight, water, and time, I captured their silhouettes before they faded, preserving their gentle presence in deep, enduring blue.

Each piece is a quiet memory—of warm light, open fields, and the delicate balance between impermanence and preservation.

A celebration of nature’s resilience, the poetry of the ephemeral, and the quiet beauty of being held in light.
